Kaplan Area Report

Went to the lease this morning to put up our new blind we built today and let me tell you what! All fields around us were dry and our pond is still holding plenty of water and the ducks were in there by the thousands. Mostly Teals and Greys and some mallards. The birds didn't want out at all and were landing and flying in with the 4wheelers running as well. My little boy is only two so he cant hunt for youth this coming weekend, but if anyone is interested in taking their son/daughter we can set something up for free for the kids at the least.

I'm leasing off of South Liberty farm road, saw a good bit of ducks and specks last week. Are you close to that area? I'll be heading that way on Friday, will post a report of what we see!

Yea we are actually located off of Joe Rd which is right after liberty.

Hwy 35 south of Rayne-just drove by fields and loaded with ducks. Pictures did not come out to post but awesome sight. cut rice field was full and also road (dry ground) between two ponds all less than 100 yards from highway. Good news-ponds are now full of water-bad news so is every field in the area.
