I bought the boat with 250 hours. At about 350 hours I started getting water in the starboard motor oil. I put a new block with new heads at that point. I have receipt to show that it was new. LOL. All maintenance is up-to-date.
I do boat repair for a living. I bought the Twin Vee 26 because it?s lighter weight and being able to pull it with a half ton pick up. Although it is heavier than manufactured quoted build weight. It was a dual console when I bought it. I found the fuel tanks were loose and water trap below the deck and some wet foam. At that point I gutted the hull from the forward bulkhead to the back bulkhead. All of the material that I used to make the boat like I wanted ,was either Divinycell or Coosa board. I added PVC pipes to run wires from bow to stern and to console. installed/made insulated fish boxes below deck. 300+ quart in the Port hull and 200+ quart in the starboard hull. Forward of port fish box is 5 gallon bucket /cast net storage area. Forward of the Starboard fish box is a rod storage area that will hold up to a 6 foot eight rod. 2 60 gallon plastic fuel tanks, with removable lids to access in case it is necessary. The braces supporting the deck over the fuel tank and the forward and aft bulkhead is the only wood that is left in this boat. The cap and the transom was already cored. I even moved the starboard fuel tank fuel fill to the port side to make it easier when refueling. Other than a couple battery cables and engine wiring, all of the electronics, trolling motor wiring/switch panels are new.
This has been a fun boat, but I?m ready to move up and be able to get farther off shore. Loaded for a 50/60 mile trip if it?s calm I will get almost 2 miles to the gallon at 30 miles an hour. Asking $48,000
