Looking for some opinions on what the best time to set a feeder for. I had mine set last yr to go off at 12pm for 7seconds then again at 12am for 7 seconds. Im gonna be setting it out again this weekend and was wandering what yall thought.

Well, legal shooting hours are one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset. So I'd set it for sunrise and 1/2 hour before sunset. On my feeders the deer usually show up a few minutes after the morning throw. In the evening they are often standing around the edges of the plots five or ten minutes before the feeder goes off, waiting for their evening snack.

try 30 minutes in the morning after light, and 30 minutes before dark in the evening

Where do you hunt? I hunt in East Feliciana and i have never had deer wait on the feeder or come when it goes off. I am just curious and wish that the deer on our property would do that.

I'm in St. Helena Parish dmbbowhunt. Pine plantation/900 acres/9 members/no guest. We have a fair population of deer and limit our kill to two does per man, no bucks under five points. I've often had deer standing under the feeder looking up at it waiting for it to go off. Other members in the club have had the same experience.
