I need some help from all of you 4 wheeler experts. I recently bought new tires for my Honda Rancher 350 4x4. All of the websites I looked at told me to get 25-8-12's for the front and 25-10-12's for the back. I listened to them. When I took my old tires off, I realized I had (from the factory) 24-8-12's on the front and 24-9-11's on the back. I bought 12 inch rims for the rear and some people are telling me this will ruin my bike. Something about gear ratio or something. A mechanic told me as long as the tires are the same size, front and back, it doesn't matter. Some of the guys I hunt with say the mechanic doesn't know what he's talking about. Who is right?????

Listen to the guy who works on vehicles for a living! As long as the tires are the same it doesn't matter. I have a 2002 Honda 350 that has 25x10x 11 on the back and 25x8x12 on the front. I have an 09 Honda 500 with 26x12x12 on back and 26x10x12 on front. Honda even changed to same size rims.

I have a Rancher and put 26x10x12 on the front and 26x12x12 on the back. They are ITP mud lites. I think you should be fine with what you have. I've had mine for years with no issues. Ken's Atv's in Robert was very knowledgeble when I purchased them. Hope this helps.
