Does this sound right?

I hunt on a small lease and one of the members got a picture a a nice buck and he is telling us that we can't shoot it because he wants to. What do yall think of this? I think that it is not right at all.

wrong
Sounds wrong to me as long as you don't hunt his stand. If the deer comes by you, shoot it. Just don't hunt the guys stand unless he gives you permission.

You pay the same amount of money he does, if that deer shows at your stand, send him to the prmise land!

Take The shot
If you and this guy are on even par as members in this club he has no right saying what he did.

Furthermore, someone like this need not even be in a lease with other members and should be voted out of the lease or change their view point and come to understand their 'place' in such a set up.

You pay therefore you have the right to play, just like anyone else in your lease as long as you are abiding by your lease's set of rules.

I'd be po'd to the tee!

the buck
if yall have club stands and not personal stands id shoot him from any stand. if you have personal stands i would not go within club rules of his stand( 100 or 200 yds whatever the rule is). If he he came by my personal stand id shoot him. i dont think this guy has his name painted on the sides of the deer does he ? if he goes to adjacent land the other property owner or lease holder will certainly shoot him . no one owns game animals or has exclusive rights to them .

ONE QUESTION.
Did everyone LAUGH when he said that?

hungry
I would respect his wishes. I sure as hell wouldn't be hunting anywhere around where he took the picture. Sounds like he put in the work, and now everyone wants the benefits. Sure, if you see the deer a mile away its yours for the taking, but you know that's not what will happen. Everyone will have stands around the area, and nobody will kill him because of the added pressure. Why can't you just be happy for the guy?

lol
that's just funny! you sure he was serious?

Club stand
The picture was taken at a club stand and our personal stand is only about 200-300 yards away so it is very likely that we will see him. At our lease we can't use climbers around any stands unless it is at your personal stand or in the woods where there are no stands. and im sure he was serious.

be passive
I would just say alright bra. then go make a mock scrape and put some cmere dear close to the scrape and try to rattle him in. then when you kill him bring him to the camp and ask him if he wants a piece of one of the backstraps. But there is no way he coulda been serious or at least believe other people would take him seriously.

His Deer?
You are kidding, right? If not, send him a bill for the cost of your food plot, and tell him 'his deer' ate the whole food plot and you need to replace it.

hmm...
If he was serious, I would try to shoot it out of spite. Taking a picture of the deer doesn't make you the owner of it. Shoot it and hang it's nuts on the guy's camera.

just because he has a picture of a deer does not mean he put in a lot of work, it means he put out a camera. the smart thing for him to have done would be not to show the picture at all, he has no right to claim a deer just because he saw it first.

Shoot!
If the club allows guests, invite as many as allowed and kill that deer ASAP.
What hell is that fella smoking????
