I wanted to dedicate this post to my favorite time of the hunt; watching the SUNRISE! I have seen a few pictures posted of this special time in the morning. Let’s get a thread started where we can all post our pictures of one of the most spectacular aspects of the hunt.

I always enjoy your posts and your pics. Here is one of mine from last year.
I talked with you and your dad a couple times on the north shore about how you all blind your boats and enjoyed meeting yall. I wanted to tank you all for the advice. I'm gonna try it out this weekend for the opener. best of luck this year and keep the pics coming.

I often think of that perfect time...
Whether it is the exact moment of a sunset when you are awe-struck...
the exact moment a cup of Community Coffee is cool enough to sip...
the exact moment when you fold a green head over the decoys...
hitting that piece of firewood perfectly with the ax...
making that clean grab on a frog...
setting the hook and pulling in that speck...
We all have our moments, and we chase those moments...we live for those moments

Reminds me of why we go. The only comment I would take back is the 'last sunrise of 2009-2010 season'. I don't like the feeling in the pit of my stomach on the last weekend of the season. Let's not go there yet, LOL.

One from sunrise last week in St. Mary Parish, the other from sunset this week in Cameron Parish. Like I always tell people, working from daylight to dark outside has its advantages.

Like Forrest Gump said, '...when the sun comes up, I couldn't tell where heaven stopped and the earth began. It's so beautiful'. He was talking about the desert, but we are talking about the duck blind!

It was good to see this post revisited and the new pictures that were posted. It is amazing how looking at these pictures again bring you back to that exact moment in time when you were in the blind, feeling the rush of that special time of the hunt. These are the things that help pass the time between seasons. I am pumped already!
