He borrowed an H&R and killed his first deer a few weeks ago and loved it. Thanks for the info!

Dont buy the Rossi. I bought one and couldnt site it in. It would never shoot in the same place. Went back 2 days later and bought the H&R. Very accurate. My son has shot at 2 deer and killed both of them with the H&R. I would not put my son in a stand with a Rossi. Rossi,$200.00 H&R, $250.00

hmm...
The H&R is a much better gun. My brother had a rossi .243 that couldn't put em all in a paper plate at 100 yards.

I bought a Rossi 223 for my girls two years ago. Sighted it in once. They have made three shots at deer and dropped three. Very good gun for the money.
