Fishing the Tide Changes?

Reply

I have been reading a lot on here the the best time for trout action is when the tides change. Does this mean fishing when it hits high tide or low tide, or does this mean fishing when it starts changing to the other. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Any movement is the key
I've always heard different things over the years about the 'best' time to fish with the tide. In my experiences I have caught trout in a rising tide, falling tide and sometimes during slack tide. There is no doubt that the movement of the water helps you catch but I donít know about the first hour of movement on a rising tide or the last hour of a falling tide being the best. This is pretty much I can tell you. Good luck and remember as long as there is movement you should be alright.

Tides
Alot of the places i fish are main passes and main bayous. The tide get's to flowing real hard in these spots and the bait can't hold and just get washed away therefore the fish cant feed. The first hour and last hour are enough movement to get the fish feeding but not enough to wash out the bait.
