Made a trip down to Port Sulphur on Sunday in hopes the wind would die down and we could go chase some specks but it wasn't meant to be. We caught a few trout early, but the wind just got too brutal for us, so we decided to head into the marsh and fish for reds. We worked for them but me and my buddy ended up with our limit of reds, 2 drum, and 6 specks. Whenever this wind lays down the trout fishing should bust wide open. We noticed plenty juvenile shrimp in Lake Washington which is a really good sign of things to come. We also made a redfish trip last week in the Gator Trax and came home home with a very respectable box fishing ponds off Grand Bayou and around Bay Laneux. Good luck this weekend, I hope this wind will give us a break!!!
