Ok guys I'm looking for a good website to buy rods and reels from. Is there any website out there that not many people know about that I can buy fishing gear from without spending a fortune. Any info is greatly appreciated!
You might want to go be friends with your little local tackle dealer, it's a great place to get lots of info and the 10% markup over the internet is worth it in info and especially when something goes wrong. I was at my local tackle dealer on monday and 6 people brought in rods while I was there that they broke over the weekend, they knew all the regular customers and handed them new rods no questions asked. Many of the shops do this with reels also but ask what rods and reels have over the counter warranties. You can't get service like that on the net much less info on baits, areas and techniques.
Haha, JB you right I could. I just bought another citica today. And goin to buy a carrot stix pg tomorrow. Cabela's got em on sale for $89. Can't beat it!
I agree, shimanos always has good sales towards fall as they make way for new models. Get a curado if you can. As far as rods, academy usually has those rod riots which are good times to pick up gear.
Speaking from experience, go online to 'Affordablefishing.com'. The business is located out of Mandeville, La. I have ordered numerous reels from Curado E7, Citica 200, Stratic 2500...etc....The guy is an ABSOLUTE PLEASURE to deal with. Oh and by the way the reels I have listed smoked academys prices including shipping. FYI They also list on ebay.
