That is a beautiful boat.. It almost would pass for a fiberglass one, just looking at the pic..

i'm not sure that gravois still builds fishing boats. Maybe he does but i thought he had moved into a more commercial product.

Gaudet is doing very good work. Clint stays very busy..Easy to get along with and seems to build a very nice boat. A fried just ordered a 24. we'll find out what they're made of soon.

She's 6 years old now. I've probably got over 40K in it with the seat cushions, trim tabs electronics etc. My step dad has the Bon Chance that charter's out of Grand Isle and his boat is a little more stable when fishing because it is wider at the bottom but mine is drier when riding because it has more flare to it and is wider at the top.

I drive back and forth pass Gaudets every day going and coming from my work . Those people are always bowed up ! I've never dealt with them personally but have watched their business grow over the years . All I can say is they must be doing something right !

Anyone looking at this page needs to give these guys a call. I have never seen one in person but have heard they are real nice boats and will rival any aluminum boat out there. Made in Louisiana. Found this pic of the Pescavora Hybrid 21

Gravois is indeed now Metal Shark. They don't build recreational bay boats like this anymore. Having said that, I have one that is 30 years old and I love it. They are great boats, but not cheap anymore since he stopped making them. I saw Michael Gravois at a boat show and he wants to get back into the recreational boat business again.

Let me clear something up. Alex Gravois (American Aluminum Marine) makes all boats but what he is known for is his fishing boats (bay, bass, etc.) and still makes them. Mike Gravois (formerly Gravois boats, now Metal Shark) makes commercial boats, not fishing ones. A lot of people think the Gravois are the same people, just not the case. I've seen and rode in Alex's boats and they are first class fishing boats. Like everyone whose owned them says, the attention to detail is unbelievable. I cannot speak of Gaudet boats and i've never riden or know anybody who owns one. I'm sure they're good boats as i've heard of them for a while. I have seen Casey St. Romains (Sportsman Fab in Morgan City) boats and they are very nice as well and know a few guys with them who love them. Where the extra $$$ comes into play is the attention to detail and finish work with Alex's boats. How he makes it look like a fiberglass boat is unreal....electrical is OCD neat. I'm saving up for one now and will be envious of you until then. Good luck and God Bless.
