They are both mottled ducks. Black ducks are alot darker. The lighter colored lining around the feathers is much thinner(almost nonexistent), not thicker as with the mottled ducks. http://www.greglasley.net/motblk.html
These are both mottles, just a male and a female. They dont even remotley resemble black ducks. Slim chance you'll ever see a real black mallard killed in south LA.
I'm going to get some crawfish. They have plenty of rocks for the crawfish to hide in. I'll just put small ones. I'll also try out the foam in my minnow trap. Seems like a cool idea! Virginia Beach Mobile Truck Repair
