It may sound crazy but the best thing i have found is to wear a pair of womens knee highs..not 2 or three pair of socks, and a pair of Lacrosse Alpha Burly (insolated) boots!!

A short walk to your deer stand can make your feet sweat. After you get seated, that moisture will turn your feet to icecubes. If you can, change your socks( good wool ones) when you get to your stand. Also, don't lace your boots so tight that it cuts the circulation to your toes.

Buy some good socks. Go to Backpacker, they will cost you $40 but they are good. Sorry but the name on mine wore off so I can't say what they are. Also, NEVER wear more than 1 pair of socks. I used to and my feet stayed cold, a Doctor said this is because the more socks you wear, the tighter they fit causing less blood to your feet.
If none of this works...Coleman Catalytic Heater and a 1 lb propane bottle

go to cabelas in shoe section and there are some boot warmers that slip over your boots .they are called artic shields. put them on as soon as you get in stand. they work good. you can catch them on sale for about $30. good christmas present

A good pair of sock 'liners' will help alot. They are very thin and go under your wool socks are whatever you wear. They wick away the moisture caused by sweat.

+1 on the knee highs.....i laughed at a guy offshore once who had a pair of panty hose on.....but after 30 hours of freezing my behind off, he offered me a pair.....i put them on and low and behold....WARMTH!!!!!

And i wear a womans bra to keep my chest warm every since my wife found one in my truck glovebox after a recent hunting trip.

Walmart sells them. They are just like hand warmers, but stick to your socks. They work great. Toastie Toes can't hunt wwithout them.

I find taking your boots off, if you can lets your feet relax and loosin up. I do this when iam hunting from my box stand.

To keep his feet warm they use to put a pair of socks on then a bread bag then another pair of socks. I tried it and works like a charm. Good luck.

The best thing is to hunt a box blind with a buddy heater. Lol it works great!

Bread bags, interesting. Hunt an open box stand. Always think bout those heaters things but, afraid scent of it will bust me. Hell, I know guys that use OFF during opening archery, but I'd rather hear bzzzzzzzzzz than shweww!!!!

Lots of good information here but what works for me is a pair of mens nylon dress socks or some sort of moisture wicking sock first then a good thin wool or cotton sock. I use burly 1200 rubber boots and wear them loose. It is a necessity to wear the boots loose fitting to keep your blood flowing properly to warm your feet. Good Luck, Merry Christmas to All.

This works great. Then make sure you wear loose fitting boots. Good thing about this is if you hunt the swamp and over top your boots your feet are not wet

liner socks/ pure wool over the liner socks / loose fitting insulated boots/ artic shields boot blankets AND AN INSULATED HAT and GLOVES-- you lose a lot of heat through your head-Keeping the head warm WORKS but dont wear insulated hat enroute to the stand or blind your head will sweat .-The keeping the head insulated came from my Dad who 'camped out' the winter of 1944-1945 in France Germany and Austria while engaging the Wermacht and SS at every town and crossroads and bridge .He knew the value of dry socks and a warm head .

put on a thick pair of socks. put talc power in boots (absorbs moisture) take 2 plastic grocery bags put feet in them and then in boots.

Wool, when wet, is about 80% as effective as if it were dry. Ever heard of sheep freezing to death?

Buy GOOD wool socks, not the el-cheapos. I aim for at least 80% merino wool. Add 400 gram thinsulate boots.

For about $15 you can get an old army blanket from the surplus store. Cut it in half then cut one of the halves in half. Use 1/4 for each foot and 1/2 for your lap but ONLY of you're hunting in a ground blind or a box stand. This isn't recommended for climbing stands.

Also... Always scrub your feet very well when you shower. Wash them very well and try to remove as much dead skin as possible since dead skin retains moisture.) Before venturing forth, spray your feet with antiperspirant to reduce sweating. Antiperspirant works on feet just like it works on armpits.

Stay warm!

Get a pair of pack boots that are made for the arctic. They look a little funny and aren't very good if you do a lot of walking. But I guarantee you will never have cold feet with them on.
