Yesterday was a wet day. Watched deer in foodplot from first light till dark thirty. Amazing to see them grazing in an all out downpour. Saw at least 25 deer but just 2 small bucks. Today changed stands for evening hunt, 8pt;6pt, 2 spikes, 4 knotheads, several does. Bucks came out at 4:00 and after about 5 min. chasing the doe hit the woods and didnt come back. The abandoned knotheads are now spending all day in the plots, making them easy targets. Look at the pic and u can see a torn up area where 2 bucks had a real fight. Wish they wouldnt tear up my plots.lol

Found em this morning just like i left em yesterday. This morning saw 3 bucks never seen before. Tried to shoot a 4x2 but too far, lucky for me, next one out had 10pts, all before 7:00am. BBD, 10pts., 51/2in. bases, 22in. main beams, 16in. inside spread. 225+ pounds.

That is the problem with a camera. You never know when that big buck will come back, or a bigger buck might just come rolling in. Hunt the scrapes and you will sooner or later get the buck you are looking for.

I've killed a couple deer over scrapes, but never been a big believer. I've had 2 cams over scrapes 3 weeks now and almost all does. Got in my stand at 4:30pm, still saw 7&8pt walking and looking for does. Large 10pt i killed yesterday was hot after a doe. This week, esp. midday, will be awesome.

I never spent much time studying scrapes, but this is getting interesting. 19 days later the big6 came back, since that time only does and couple small bucks have showed up.
