Ranger Ghost

Reply
Just wondering if anyone owns a Ranger Ghost close by that may be willing to take me on a ride. I've been looking at several and don't want to fly to Florida to wet test one. I'd be willing to pay for fuel and would love to bring my push pole to see how she tracks and poles.. My schedule allows me to have Friday and weekends off and am willing to show anyone around the Delacroix Reggio area in return for a test ride..

There is a camp in Delacroix named TAGFU. It's right at the intersection of Bayou Terre and Bayou Gentilly. Those guys have one hanging in one of their boat slips under the camp. If you ask them, you may luck out since the boat is down there and hanging in the slip already.

I own a 169 Ghost and live in Lafitte and I have a 20' Stiffy push pole. Email me back at merdocs@yahoo.com.

The little Ranger at TAGFU is a Banshee Extreme (16'8'). The Ghost is a different hull design (18'3' or 18'4' depends on the year). Capt MERDOC's would be a closer model to test. I have fished both and they are very different (layout and handling). If you have any questions let me know (mac@allfax.com).

Good fit and finish in a Ranger. My favorite small boat is the Hewes Redfisher. Man that thing can take some waves. A cross sea doesn't slow it down either.
