Big Bass caught 6:20am North Shore Covington, La. Mr. Casey Bridges, a native of the North Shore, just slamin' the bass this year. This makes #5 caught between 8 lbs. to 12 lbs. for Mr. Bridges. The bass shown here is 10 pounds 9 ounces and extremly healthy. Mr. Bridges was using his new Jus-Grab-It Glove! a brand new product for 2006. This glove is great for all types of fishing, convienence and safty. WWW.jusgrabitglove.com

I totally agree, Gerald

That is a monster if it was caught in public waters. Was it in a private pond or public waters?

All I have heard about bass fishing on the Northshore is that it is non existant since Katrina. This fish must have come from one of those private lakes on the Northshore. If not photshopped it is a real nice fish.

It wasn't caught in public waters. It was caught n-in a private lake / pond.

Congratulations to Mr. Bridges on a huge Louisiana bass. And by the way, it doesn't matter who owned the lake, the fish is still big. Please...spare us the "it looks photoshopped" talk, there's really no sense in it.

Looks like another one that a few people will try to make leave the sight. If you are so sure about it not being real, why not go meet the man and see first hand. He did leave his full name, so he should not be hard to find.

P.S. Nice fish. Congrats.

The photo is fake. Look at it. It is obviously Photo-Shopped. Look at the guy's hand, it is BLUE!

Seriously, that's a very nice fish.

Anyone with a kean eye can see that this beautiful bass is really somewhere between 15-20#s Hey, great job landing such a nice bass.

I don't know much about photo shopping so I couldn't tell you if it is fake or not, but being a north shore native I would have to believe it is real.

They have been many 10# plus bass caught out of private farm ponds and lakes in the Bush, Covington, and Folsom areas. They even catch them this big in the golf course ponds and Interstate Ponds in Mandeville.

Even though some public waterways such as the Tchefuncte River have been stocked with Fla. Bass, I doubt seriously this fish was caught in public waters.

Ok if you zoom in on his hands and then measure his middle finger from the knuckle to the the tip then take that measurement and take it to his head then his finger would reach from his chin to the middle of his forehead. Don't know anyone with hands that big! Eventhough still looks like it would be a nice fish around 5 - 6lbs.

Hate Hate Hate Hate. Everyone holds their fish away from their bodies for the pictures...so what...it's still a 10 pounder.
Reply
   geaux1969
Well that is funny because I did the samething with 2 other pics of bass that were being held the same way and the fingers were not that long. Normal from chin to tip of nose. I pulled them from google image search. I might be wrong but everyone has their own opinions and mine is that it is photshopped. To be honest I could careless I kind of think it is funny.

can't help it. It is photoshopped, no doubt. just look at the size of his right arm and fingers, and the left forearm under the fish. They are WAY out of proportion to the rest of his body. I give it a C+ in photoshop quality. I am gonna post the pic on another site with some really good photoshoppers, and see what happens.

Why would a local company owner (Just Grab It Gloves) post a photo shopped picture???? I would think that posting a fake picture and even a lie on the internet would do more harm for your company's reputation than good. Don't we all hold our fish 4 feet away from our body towards the camera to make it look HUGE!

I believe it's all real! Nice Fish!!!!

I just blew the pic up on a better monitor, it's not even close to a C+ photoshop. More like a D-.

I think the Jus Grab it folk didn't realize this at first, but THEY GOT PUNK'D!! with that photo.

The worst part of the shot is around the hand area, and there is an amateur photoshopper laughing his butt off.

Well it fooled me, but I will still tell ya there are plenty of 10# plus bass swimming around on the northshore in the farm ponds.

Looking at the picture again, I noticed something that maybe somebody can explain. What about the shadow under the fish against the guys shirt. It seems that if a shadow was to be that strong against his shirt then where are the other shadows in the picture????????? Is it even possible to get a shadow like that from the sun holding the fish in this position? Also, is that a shadow above the fish too or the border of something on his shirt?

This fish is for real. I know the TRUE story. Mr. Bridges put on his just grab it glove, stuck his hand in the water and proceeded to wiggle his fingers. This beauty swam right up from the depths, opened her mouth, and lipped herself on the glove. The pliers weren't even needed. WOW! What a product.

also, the fish looks like it has been seen by a taxidermist already. It sure is bright green and the gills sure are bright red for a dead fish that just came out the ice chest. mouth open like that and gills flared out, typical mount.
Reply
First of all, Mr. Grab it seems more excited about his new glove than the monster bass he is holding. I'm pretty sure if you really caught that bass the last thing you were thinking about is grabing him with that glove. Be real man. Advertise the glove with a real fish. Second of all.. who mounted that fish man? I think you should try to promote the taxidermist as well as the glove..He did a excellent job on the mount.

Being a photographer that makes his living shooting wildlife I can assure you this image has been ran through Photoshop without fail - the odd shadow gives it away 100%.

Shameless Advert that needs a good graphics designer - are you all in the market for a Photoshop professional? If so contact me - if you right click on the image and select properties - you can see the information that is embedded in the file! You have to save the image to your PC then do the right click > properties > advanced - there is your info!

Every time someone posts a picture of a big fish it is photoshopped....every time someone posts a picture of a big deer it is in a pen....some of you need to get out more and maybe you can get some pictures like this....

Now, maybe it is photoshopped, but the reasons ya'll are giving are weak. The shadow is quite obviously from the flash on the camera....the flask is just above the lense, thus the shadowing on the bottom. If you look in the background, you can see ths shadow is exactly uniform against the wall, just as it is on his shirt. His fingers are too big? Give me a break. Stretch your fingers out in front of you with your arm stretched out, snap a picture, and then tell me your fingers don't look big in relation to yor head. Next, a taxidermist?????? Are you kidding? Yeah, every taxidermist I know mounts fish with two spots on the side of it for your fingers to sit when you want to hold it and take a fake picture. Look at his fingers...they are clearly squeezing the fish where they are touching......REAL FISH.....BTW, for those of you who automatically throw a keeper fish into an ice chest, and don't know what they look like when they are alive in a picture, his gills will be red, his color will be bright green...in other words, he will look exacty like he does in that picture....

BTW, I don't have a grab it glove, but have a friend who does...comes in very handy when bass fishing, as well as trout fishing. You can put your pliers on it, etc....those bass can wear out some fingers in a days time too....let's don't automatically jump on and bash a man who is trying to promote a locally owned business....business is good for the state....if you don't like it, don't use it!!!

I think that if I was going to stage a photo of a guy holding an awesome bass for promotion of a product, I'd at least have him take his dip out. The fish is real. If any of you could see the pics of the buck Shanon Presley killed and didn't know it was the confirmed LA record, you'd say it was from Wisconson. I've never been to such a hateful forum. People do catch 10+ lb bass in Louisiana, and yes they do hold them away from their bodies. If the bass looks unnatural, its due to the camera flash.

I told you I did measure other pics on the internet holding the fish the same way. None of those pics fingers were that long in comparison to their face. It is an obvious Photoshop but if you want to keep believing that is fine with me I could careless.

Also, I know people catch 10lb bass in LA every year that has nothing to do with this picture.

This is the last time I am posting on this pic because everyone is going to belive what they want to. I hope it goes away so we can get back to real reports.

The point I was trying to make is.. Wheather the fish is real or not, it seems so hard to believe because attention is being brought to a rubber glove. How much those things cost? I want 10 of them.. Being they are so helpful while bass fishing; if you catch a bass every hour you're doing good. If you're worried about touching a fish with your hand, go get a manicure whimp.

So here it is guys, I'm the woman who gets to be married to this guy who REALLY catches all of these fish. Look, would I really sign up here to lie to you guys?
I have personally been covered in fish slime with my good morning kiss on two occasions b/c of these biggins'. The first time I actually thought that he had cut his arm off as a result of the screaming. Casey fishes religiously every morning before work and every afternoon with our little daughter.
The LA wildlife and fisheries have the 12lb 10oz one recorded. It is either 2nd or 3rd in the state's closed water division.
I promise you... they are really really real!

P.S. Casey can't even email, the thought of him Photoshopping his fish pictures is totally freaking hilarious :) We have catfish too, ya'll want those?

Hey Geaux1969 - if you think his hands are huge compared to his head, you ought to see his...I better keep this clean ;)
