I forget to ask if you have a name for this deer and how much will it cost to shoot him?

Man those are some real nice bucks, Doesnt matter if these deer are in a hi-fenced area, that is if they are, i am glad you have the opportunity to hunt a animal of such quality. Allot of these guys post negative comments because in my opinion they are jealous, that is where the sarcasm comes from. I am sure you are just like the rest of us just a good ole country boy that has had to hunt in the rough for your deer. It just aggravates me for someone to share pics of good deer or any deer for that matter and someone try to cut you for it. Most of the people that shoot the negativity out really wish they could be sitting there just for a chance to take one of these bucks whether it be a farm raised deer or not. My hats off to you buddy, good luck and i would love to see more pics if you will post.

Thanks for sharing,

illegal
just so you know. if that is really in illinois, it is illegal to feed wild deer at any time of the year unless plant agriculture fields and they eat that. Not trying to be an ass just trying to help you.

It is definitely illegal to feed free range deer in Illinois due to the disease that is called CWD (Chronic Wasting Disease)this is a neurological disease that affects the brain of the animal which causes abnormal behavior, etc and eventually kills the animal. This has also been found in Elk. If i am not mistaken i believe the Illinois wildlife department made this a rule in 2002, but not for certain on that.

However, On private land it is legal to feed deer on a hi-fenced area where the free range deer cannot enter. But if it is not hi-fenced and is private that doesn't matter you still cant feed the deer legally and it is a stiff fine associated if you are caught.

Not sure if this are hi-fenced animals or not but thats the facts.

Have a good one.

FEEDER
HAS ANYBOBY EVER HAD ANY LUCK WITH A FEEDER LIKE THAT IN LOUISIANA.WE HAVE HOGS AND I WOULD LIKE TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT BUT JUST DONT THINK THE DEER WILL COME TO IT.

Yep
I have one something similar to it and it works fine, deer, hogs and coon eat out of it all the time. I usually keep minerals in it during the off season. During hunting season i place bran or corn in it.

There easy to make, just find you a plastic culvert pipe, split it with a skill saw then you will have 2 troughs. Fine you some old barn wood or and old house that still standing somewhere pull some boards off of it and tin, if it isn't in to bad of shape and you will have very little cost in it.

By the way i live in North East La, where the deer are so spooky they are scared of there own tails when the wind blows.
