Bank action for a few kids?

I have few kids that keep asking to go fishing but cant fit them in the boat. I was wondering if anyone knows of anyspot where we can get some action on the bank. Catfishing is perfect but perch will work. We live in new orleans but dont mind driving. Thanks in advance.

Why not try the new Lake Pont. pier on the nortshore twin spans? They just opened until Midnight and it's a very easy fish for small kids.

There is a nature walk right in back of the High School that runs for several miles has about 6 fishing piers. Also if you want to spend time and money get some live shrimp and fish on old Hwy one/ Take the first exit after the Leeville bridge and try all the cuts.
