After nearly a month of low tides, the water has returned and the ducks are making their way back to the shallow broken marsh areas that we were hunting during the first split. Today was not a home run, but the action was better than it has been. A late morning flight of teal mixed with some mottled ducks and spoonbills made for a late season exciting hunt. After the hunt, we did some scouting and found good numbers of ducks in the broken marsh areas and plan to return to one of those areas tomorrow. We killed six ducks today and missed quite a few opportunities. The water should stay high with east and southeast winds through the weekend. Get out and hunt - you may be surprised what you find.
