How to remove seat stain???
I have a white leaning post on my xpress CC-22. It has some spots/stains on it that look like mildew, but i don't think thats what it is. I've tried cleaning it with conventional cleaning products and tried a magic eraser on a friend's recommendation. Nothing works. The seat gets brighter and but the spots stay. Any clues on how to get rid of these?

Sounds like mold...stubborn mold. Try 'X-14' on a discrete area. If it's mold it'll be gone

have you tired bleach?

Bleach
I was told bleach would dry out the thread and material, making it crack and tear.

Clorox Cleanup
I've had good success using Clorox Cleanup on stubborn stains. It contains bleach and works well on mildew.

Not Bleach
Whatever you do DO NOT use bleach. Bleach will destroy the threads that hold the seat together. I dont think purple power has bleach in it, so i would give that a try but dont get it on the threaded parts of the seat just incase.

I had the same issue on my Ranger's white seats. I used a product from Walmart called 'White Lightening'. Sold that boat, but still keep that stuff at the house to clean all kinds of stuff. So if you get some and it doesn't work, it's still worth something.

almost guaranteed to work
Get some pumice based hand cleaner like Gojo and work in with a green scubbing pad. Let me know if this works. It used to do the trick when I mated on big boats back in college.

Bleach
50/50 Water/bleach and sunlight will remove mildew stain and won't rot the stitches.

If all else fails
Get some dye and dye the seat whatever color you like.
Just don't spill it in the boat, then you would have to dye the whole boat!

If it is mold try Concrobium MoldControl. It is a mold remediation product. Sold at Home Depot. I have used it on painted sheetrock straight from the bottle without a problem. Aint cheap.

Stains
I had the same problem. Was able to remove the mildew/mold stains with a cleaner called Awesome that you can find at Walmart or Doller General. However there were some other stains on my seat that I couldn't remove. These are grey stains that are deep into the vinyl and wont come off. It was either caused by spray on sun block or insect repellent with deet. So be mindfull how you are spraying certain products while out fishing. I now make sure I am down wind and away from seats when spraying anything.
