Looking to buy a few reels but not sure which one to go with. I'm looking at the Daiwa T3 Ballistic or Lew's Tournament series. If anyone has fished with either of these reels any feedback would be great. Thanks

Forget those two reels. Go to www.tacklewarehouse.com and buy some Abu Garcia Revo STX's. They have them on sale for $159 each. These aren't the Generation 3's, these are the discontinued models that are better then the new ones. Regularly sale for $199.

If you don't like them, I will buy them back from you.

After being a lifelong shimano guy, i broke down and brought the lews tournament pro. Tried it for four trips and couldnt wait to sell that thing. Went back to the Chronarch 50.

I bought the Lews Tournament pro and it's a fine reel super smooth but bought a Chronarch a month later and realized why shimano is still the best.Alot of people say the new chronarch is just the last series curado painted white but it's not true, that real has much tighter tolerances which translates to silky smooth retrieves and throws lighter baits much better than any of the competitors IMO same price as tourney pro,You can find em online for 179.00

Go to Academy and get a H2O Express Mettle reel for $49.00, it has a low profile, a solid aluminum frame and 10 bearing system. I have six of them, they are very reliable, they have a lifetime replacement (trade in at Academy) and cast a mile! Go read some reviews on this reel. You wont be sorry.
