Dick's Fishing Kayak Deal

I recently sold my old Kayak and went out to replace it looking for a great deal.

My budget was for below $500. I started online looking and found a Field & Stream 12' Eagle Run Kayak at Dick's for $474 that fit my needs.

I was looking for big capacity as I am 279 lbs and plan to carry about 100 lbs. I also needed dry storage space for my gear as we paddle a couple of miles to reach the camp and need to bring our stuff. Another requirement was a sit inside kayak to keep dry when it's cold.

I purchased the kayak at Dick's for $474 and a matching paddle for $99. I took it out for a test on calm water a few days later and was happy. The kayak was faster than my old one and had better tracking also.

I plan to put it to use soon on a few day fishing trip.

Here is the specs:

Please remember safety if you purchase that kayak. I found a web site that pretty much covers things you should know and put a link below. Don't stop there as learning never stops.
The camo kayak looks great and blends into nature great. I decided though it is also best to remember safety and went down to Massey's and purchased the YAK ATTACK visit carbon Pro. This will help me be visible both day and night as it has a flag on a 4' pole and a light.
