85 pound Coy knocked down January 26, 2013. Was paired up with a another black coy that was following this big male but could only get one of em. The fawns will be that much safer this summer!!
Coyotes aren't suppose to get to 85 lbs, especially down here. It definitely doesn't look like one either. Looks almost like a wolf or someone's pet got loose...might want to bring this to LDWF and get it checked out. If it is a yote, then it's a beast

already got with a biologist who picked up samples for genetic testing. advised definitely coyote cross and not someones pet. The area is famous dumping ground for strays but he advised is definitely coyote cross. will post results of genetic testing when he gets back to me.
