Island Hammers

Reply
Go to the island around 2 this morning to fish some lights and the tide was dead so so was the bite. Also on my third cast of the morning I went to move down and slipped on some rocks and my hand ended up getting shredded by some oyster shells and barnacles so I wrapped it up in a rag and finally got the bleeding to stop. We went and slept in the truck through that rain and then headed to Bridgeside. Luckily the awesome people at Bridgeside grabbed a first aid kit, cleaned and patched me up so the fishing would go on!
Worked around some of the spots picking them off here and there in the rain and then headed home. No quantity today but defintely all quality. Fish were caught on Vudu Shrimp under a popping cork and Shrimp Creole Matrix Shad Rucker rigged! I will probably be headed back down sometime next week.

Please be very careful with your injured hand. Make sure you rinse your hand off well with a diluted concentration of clorox and water (50/50). Keep it clean thereafter. Vibrio virus infection can be very bad and dirty oyster shells might be a place this virus is lurking
