Looking for a place to stay around or on teldo bend in a couple of days. Wanting to take my wife there for a weekend fishing trip. We have never stayed or fished the area so does anybody have any suggestions on where is a good place to stay?

If your bringing your wife I would suggest this place and stay in the main cabin.

It's on the texas side and minutes from toledo tackle and the grocery store.

Owners Bruce and Rebecca are great people and will make you feel right at home. You can see the lake sitting on the living room couch. full kitchen, direct tv, and very clean.

They do not have a launch on the property but there is a launch about 500ft away which is actually Alpine Marina. I dont exactly remember the launch fee. Maybe 5 bucks?

I've stayed at Holly Park Marina.
Has a boat launch and a store.
Nice folks and several options on rentals.
You can fish Patroon Bay, and head out to the main lake too.
Not sure what Patroon Bay is doing right now..

My vote is always - Fin - N - Feather Resort.
Just got back from there again.
Awesome place to stay.
A little bit pricier than most places on TB, but well worth it.............First class facility.
Great place to take the wife.
They have cabins, motel rooms, RV sites, boat houses, pavillion, cooking facilities, WIFI, etc.
Great folks.
Some of the best fishing areas close by on Toledo.
4 hours from Baton Rouge.
They have a website.
Good Luck.

Wildwood resort around the San Miguel area is nice. They have their own boat launch, covered pavilion to fish from, fish cleaning area, etc

Your La. fishing license is good anywhere on Toledo Bend whether you launch on Texas side or La. side
because they are bordering waters.

I suggest that you visit the following web address for more detailed information..........especially for creel limits.
http://www.toledo-bend.com/toledo_bend/index.asp?request=license

Toledo Bend largemouth bass creel limit is 8 with a 14' MLL
