Talked today with a good friend of mine, who just went home to Indiana last weekend for a family reunion. He said all the locals were talking about, was the surplus of corn and how this has been a bumper crop with good rain this season following two bad years. In the little town he was in there was talk of reopening the ethanol plant that has been closed the last three years. He said the fields were as green and lush as he's ever seen them. Wonder how this is going to impact us locally? It sure would make my hunting season better if gas dropped to 2.00$ a gallon and corn was 3.50$ a bag again. I remember years ago when the thought was it cost more to harvest the corn then you made selling it, and he talked like that idea was being thrown around up there last week. I guess time will tell.
