Hers a few more pics from today. All fish were caught using Matrix Shad. Everyone was using a different color today. I found ultra violet did well for me today.

Thanks guys. Appreciate all the kind words. We stuck a beer can in the middle of the fish to try and give a reference. Today was one of the better boxes I've put together. It took 2 ice chests and a bucket full to get em to the cleaning table.

That looks like a few too many fish for 3 anglers huh? Unless the deck shot was from multiple trips?

always some moron doubtin' somebody...looks like right at 75 to me...

ps---nice catch

In that pic was about 90 trout.
My customers from the evening trip the day before where we caught around 20 had a prior engagement so they had to haul butt from the launch. I threw theirs up there in the photo also. They actually came by last night and had a 'generous' helping from the 5 gal bucket of filets.
So yesterday's trip we were within our limits by a few fish. Wish we could've gotten back out there today to play with them but the 4ft+ seas has me couch ridden today.
Again thanks everyone for the kind words!!

Nice count on the 75 rrrrratred moron

lol well i guess u got me on the count there, eagle eye....still no need to make the man justify his picture

Well if you state 'pics from today' and your report from said day clearly states that there were 3 anglers fishing and you show a pic that was 'from that day' with well over a 3 person limit something is not right and we found out what it was.

some people have to much free time to be counting fish. Nice catch

Lordbud represents himself as a guide, the picture he posted stated one trip which made him way over the legal limit. Jlb was correct to spot a violation in his post, being over the legal limit and then posting a picture of it is just not smart.

To Scuba123,
Henry stated how the extra fish got in the mix, and he did so because they could add to and enhance a cool picture, so get over it. this is why I will comment on this site, but rarely post anymore

Where did you fish in the lake? Biloxi marsh, or shoreline near Rigolets, Chef
?

Lordbud is not the first person on here to misrepresent pictures of his fish. No worries whatever floats your boat.

In my opinion there is no need to enhance the picture. The man has caught some nice fish. I fish the lake at least twice a week and its no secret to the regulars that it has been on fire to say the least. I just think you should post what you actually caught when you say you caught it if your into posting fishing reports. Actually catching the fish sure beats the heck out of trolling. Cheers!

Why does the 'bow shot' on Capt. John Falterman's Facebook page from yesterday's trip show only 34 tout?
Reply
TO ALL WHO WANT TO BE NEGATIVE why why question every detail why can't you people be happy when whoever gets a good catch what is the problem are you with wldf to count fish size ect. it is posted so wldf can find it also who cares if it is 5/6/7 or what size bet you wish was on you hook I did is this a living or your hobby /pastime I SAY IF YOU CAN'T SAY GOOD THINGS DON'T SAY ANYTHING THERE ARE MANNY GUIDES no one ever hears from and I bet they don't care to be mixed up in this crap all there is to say is most would have wanted to have been on that boat yeterday

Capt John Falterman also took 8-10 trout home with him from the launch that were not in the picture. This pic was take at my house right before the cleaning started.
We were under our 75 trout limit for the day. We were cutting up having a good time while laying fish out counting them. We tried 3 different times to get an accurate count while they were laid out. All 3 times between 2 people we got different numbers. 85-90 trout is what we came up with.
We were too busy having a good time celebrating a great trip with good friends to worry about how the 'armchair fisherman' of Louisiana Sportsman were going to react to our count.
First people are saying my trout Are no bigger than 3 lbs (even at 25 3/4in long) now people are scrutinizing the fish count???
Don't worry guys this will be my LAST POST over here on this site. I give detailed information on a general location where we caught fish, how we were fishing to catch the , what type of lures we were using and people still want to complain?? I'm done with this site!!
For those of you that know me and want to continue to see my reports and pics I'll be putting them exclusively at www.facebook.com/trophytroutcharters

I also want to thank the ones who had kind words to say about my past few posts. It's because of readers like y'all that I started posting over here again. It's just a shame that a few bad apples have to ruin the entire bunch.

After reading the entire thread, I must say Lord you have set yourself up for this one. If you would have simply stated that this picture was from a few trips you would have cover yourself. Just my .02 cents. Saying you will never post on here sounds like sour grapes or apples, just make sure you post and report what really happens and you will be fine.

WHERE ARE YOUR FISH I BET YOU DON'T GO TO THE LAKE AND TELL LB7 THAT FACE TO FACE I AM NOT HIDING CAUSE I AM MIKE FROM ABITA AND MY PHONE IS 985 893 2770 FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO SPEAK TO ME ABOUT ANY OF MY POST

Lordbud, i was fishing sat and sun. You know as well as I do that the big trout were pretty much easy as it gets in the lake this past weekend. Im no 'guide' or expert and my boat had 75 (3ppl) trout sat and 50 sunday (2 ppl) and caught tagged and released several more both days. It seems the only time you catch is when its like this or the only time you post is when its like this. Most 'guides' report on a weekly or monthly basis the good and bad however you do not. For you as a 'guide' (and i use the term loosely) posting a pic and claiming it is a one day catch when it is not is simply lieing to potential customers especially when the number of fish is over the limit for said anglers on board. Leave the site or whatever you want but you just need to realize when you make a report you have to take the good with the bad. I just dont understand why you wouldnt caption the pic with the truth '2 day catch'. Still a good catch regardless.

I guess my question about why Falterman had a pic with yesterday's catch of 34 trout will never be answered.

Number 1 I am not hiding and number 2 I am not questioning your reports I do not even know who you are. And I live on the lake, and yes I have jigged the causeway since early September and I am not a guide an choose not to report my catch. Any guide that reports on here needs to make sure he covers his report no more no less.

Nice box, but is Henry Poirier really calling people out for posting negativity? BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Good Lord(bud). Henry, please don\'t stop posting on this site. The entertainment you provide me is literally priceless.

How is trolling not 'actually catching' the fish? And to say that jigging is a better feeling trolling is an opinion. In fact I think its an awesome feeling when a trout slams a trap and the rod almost comes out of your hand. I think you need a nice cold beer to relax a little.

Well all I have to say is good stuff Captain! Those are some beautiful specks! And if people on here did more fishing and catching, they would spend have less time to complain haha. All I did was look at the awesome picture and had to make sure you got a good job from me. Keep throwing them up, I love seeing the hogs!

That's an awesome box LB7. Keep on catching and to hell with the haters!

Is it being a hater to ask someone who posts a report to be accurate? Even most of those who have questioned the reports have stated that it was a beautiful catch. But what if a guide comes on and says he caught a 3 man limit of 6-8 pounders? And what if his numbers are double what another guy on the trip (also a guide) posts as the numbers from the same trip? Is it really being a hater to point out these things?

A good fishing friend of mine, who is new to the cyber-world and has never posted anything, has been following this. I think his quote kind of sums this up: 'When you score a touchdown, act like you've been there before.'

So we are supposed to throw the book at LB7 because he did not specifically say some of the fish in the photo were from a previous days catch? Who cares. Look at the picture of his box? Its filled to the brim with monster specs. Whether you are a guide or not, that is an amazing catch. Most of the people complaining on here are only focusing on the one specific detail of some of the fish being from a previous day's catch. What amazes me is that they have people on site so butt hurt about a guy having a good day's catch that they are going to nic pic about the details of his photos. Grow up. Who the hell sits there and counts every fish in someone's photos they post?

The butthurt on this site is strong, as well as the keyboard fishermen and the hidden gamewardens who must count up everything. the guy posted some pictures of an awesome few days of fishing, he didnt mislead anyone. i saw the posts as they went up on facebook. i dont think ive ever seen jls ripped this bad. i wonder if people troll my facebook and dont see if i tagged someone in a fishing or hunting trip, then report to WLF.

this is a prime example of why many good fisherman have left this site. i rarely post on here anymore. if you really have time to sit there and count 90 fish you really need to get a life or go on the water and try to catch some fish for yourself instead of being a troll. me and lordbud have had our rounds but holy S@#$ yall are acting like a bunch of children most of you commenting have never even posted 1 report with close to 90 specs out of the rigolets area it aint easy to do instead of talking on here go learn how to catch some fish for yourself.

Lordbud - nice mess of fish y'all caught there. I saw Todd Masson's NOLA article too.

It's disappointing to have your success nitpicked and ridiculed (see link). But keep posting reports and pics. It ain't bragging if ya done it.

I caught a 26' Speck in July 2012 that was 26-1/2' with the tail pinched. It was real fat too. It was full of croakers, including the one I'd livelined to catch it. So I guesstimated it at approx 8lbs but the Rodnreel chart says average weight for 26-1/2' is 6.75 lbs. I hope I catch another one like that.
