we fished a bunch of boats down there on Sat, Oct 7. My report is posted on this site. High N-NE wind, chocolate milk water. AND, no tide. AND full moon on Thurs and Fri nights. Not optimum conditions for that area. Capt Mikey Kennair recommended fishing the northern shoreline of Lake Salvador on Sunday, but we opted not to fish on Sunday. When you could find clean water on Sat, lots of undersize fish. Capt Mikey said the reason we caught so many undersize fish and few keepers, is that the larger fish were feeding under the moon, and turned off during the day. The little 10" trout and 12" reds that we caught so many of just keep feeding 24/7. Also, ask the guys at Joe's when you launch, they gave me an area to fish that produced the only keepers I caught.
