Robbed on my birthday, TWICE!

I had a bad feeling when I woke up this morning. Made 27 today and I just felt like something was going to go wrong. Went to walmart in Houma to pick up an orange vest and someone stole my brand new icechest out of my boat. Then we launched the boat at 8am in Pearl River WMA(launch off of 90)came back at 1030 and someone smashed my friggin' driver side window. They stole my ipod, gps, cds and my friends wallet and his leatherman. Just a heads up to anybody going in that area.

man that sucks, even worse on your birthday, too bad we can't inflict some wild west type punishment or some third world type justice on these worthless trash, hopefully the local pd can figure out who did that to you

I lived in that area most of my life. Found out the best thing to do is to take everything out of your car and leave the doors unlocked. Did this happen at the small launch on middle river or by the green bridge? Anyway there is a lot of low lifes in the area who will steal anything for crack money.

Wilkinson is right, leave your doors unlocked and take everything out. This was going on in Montegut years ago. Someone was busting the windows to steal the change out of the trucks. It isn't worth having to replace a $200 window for $5 worth of change. Just leave the door ubnlocked and nothing valuable inside.

Trust me tuffhuntin I'm ALMOST glad we didn't catch them. It was the launch right past the swamp tours place. I've thought about leaving the doors unlocked. With my luck I'll come back and two dope fiends will be making sweet love or taking a dump in my truck. I guess pickin' up some 'scat' is still better than having a broken window,lol.

Tough day!

Keep a close eye out on the places you had saved in your GPS. We had a family memeber get one stolen out of the truck and they went to the lake house a few weeks later to find it had also been broken into and golf cart gone. The cops said they get into the GPS favorite locations or saved spots, and break in espically if it is not around the hometown, somewhere you cant always be around for, the lake house, beach house etc. Sorry about the bad luck, just thought this might be a little heads up.
