Delacroix report 1/21/2014

Jack fished yesterday with Eli and his Buddy Dale, both commercial fishermen from Alaska. Eli makes his way to fish with Jack every year. This is probably his 3rd year fishing with Captain Jack. Every year they fished together they have lots of luck and always catch fish. Yesterday’s trip consisted of 75 trout and 15 Reds. They caught and released about 40 reds since they already had their quota. Look forward to seeing Eli again next year around this time.

Today Jack fished with C.T. Williams for the fish and game report. The conditions were very extreme and nasty today Jack said. 6am consisted of fog and no wind. The wind had to b blowing at least 20 mph today and being as low as the water was today it was like pure chocolate milk within 2 hours. They caught a bunch of reds and some trout. Luckily, Jack brought some live shrimp along today because he caught one fish on matrix shad and landed the rest on Sweetwater shrimp. All reds were caught on dead shrimp.

Capt. Jack said fishing should be good by: NOT SURE! If you have to go you can fish Oak River. Reds and Trout are still hanging around there.
