What's laws on sale of cats? Pointe coupee parish area. New to area lookin for links and or some info thanks. No nets just trotline/juggin. Can do it here in Maryland with non commercial license. thanks

To sell catfish in Louisiana you need a commercial fisherman's license and a gear license for what you use to catch them with (trot line, hoop net, gill net, etc.). If you sell to the general public you will also need a fresh product license.

Yes, you will need the commercial fishing and crawfish license unless you are in a rice field.

You can get the licenses at the main office in Baton Rouge and maybe the office in New Orleans.

Thanks for info when I get in town will do my homework first before dropping money. Y'all have regs against night fish in,trap pin?
