Caught a big spawner today....was dripping eggs. Let her go to have babies and grow. If you gonna keep some bass to eat, keep the 1 to 2 lbers....no sense in putting a knife into a bass like this that will be someone's biggest ever, maybe a youngster will catch her!

I'd rather eat the fried eggs than the filets. Good stuff. To each his own.

Lord - I don't know. I've tried bass eggs, they are nowhere near as good as trout eggs.

Yes, caught her on a brown/orange 1/4 ounce NuTech jig and Zoom speed craw trailer. It's a double weedgaurd jig.

Man that is a beautiful fish. I never felt comfortable fishing a jig but looking at the videos on the Nutech jig it looks like a great bait. How long have you been fishing it and is it really snag proof like they claim it is? Can you purchase them locally or do you have to order them online?

They are made in Missouri by a guy named Bo. Spent a long time perfecting it. If you wanna try some, you can order them on their site. I fish Lake Ohkissa over in Miss. a few times a year, and that place is a flooded forest. I always lose 5 or 6 jigs there. I used a NuTeck jig there last year and never lost it in the timber. One thing you will notice is that the jig will always hook the fish in the top of the mouth. I started using them last year in June when I happened to see a you tube video on them. If you search for you tube NuTeck Jigs, you can view some neat videos.

Here is a tip for saltwater fishermen who fish rock jetties. I found out that some fishermen from California were ordering these jigs. They fish rock jetties a lot and were buying jig heads by the hundreds. If they let the jig sink a little too much,, they would get into the rocks and they would have to break off. One of these guys saw these jigs on you tube and ordered some, and now a bunch of those saltwater guys get them. They said they would lose one, but not very often, very good in rocks. They use plastics on the jigheads, baits similar to the matrix shad and such.
