This time of year the weather is the major factor for offshore fishing. When its decent and we can get out, the fishing has been good but unfortunately we have had to reschedule many of our customers due to the conditions. Hopefully things will get better soon.

The previous week was good and even though we fished in some heavy downpours we caught really nice fish. The Triple Treat boated nearly 40 Yellowfin in 6 days of fishing along with Blackfin tuna, Wahoo and Amberjack.

Most of the fish were taken on live bait and Frenzy Poppers. The live bait has been a little difficult to find and time consuming but it has been worth the extra effort.

Next couple of months should be pretty good. Dolphin will start to show up....this is the time of year we see live pogies offshore and can net them for bait. Its almost go time....bill fish have already started to show....still some wahoo around...April and May are good months...should be able to find good fish. TIP....when sight fishing for dolphin... make sure to let him swim away from you for a little while before coming tight....when using circle hooks, we all get trigger happy and think since we see the fish eat that we can set the hook but most times the hook will come out because the fish is facing you. Pitch the bait, let the fish eat, may even swim around, once the fish feels the pressure, most times will take off away from the boat, let it run a few seconds and then apply drag easy....come to strike, fish on....enjoy yourselves out there and please be careful

People have been asking so we have decided to show a picture of the Blue Fin Tuna we caught a couple of years ago. Also a picture of the Triple Threat now that we have removed the tower. We have open dates...fishing is getting good. June is filling up but still have open dates including weekend dates. The new boat is ready to rock!
