Your better off then me then. I've never fished there ,but I am planning to go to sweetwater for the first time and ask at the launch where to go. I figure if i leave at five I should be there for about six thirty and fishing by seven or so. Any suggestions where to go . I seen on the news by the rocks . What rocks and where are they?

I've had a few decent trips in the lake Batola area in the last month. I've heard of nice reds being caught in four horse lake also.

the trout are moving to the outer bays this spring so any of the lakes leading out towards black bay are producing. the 5 & 10 mile rocks leading out to breton sound have trout on them at the mouth of the MRGO. best way there is out of hopedale tho, breton sound marina. but i stay truthful to delacroix, Sweetwater is my choice when launching top notch service and helpful staff. i fish for trout in the AM and redfish after the sun starts to get high.

If you are fishing for trout you need to make the run to the outer bays, redfish are pretty easy to find around the grand lake area. Made a trip Thursday and smoked the reds (30+) in and around Grand Lake. I didnt make the run for trout, just wanted to make a red fish scouting trip. Good Luck!
