The Captain Paulís Fishing Edge of GPS Waypoints is sold as an electronic download from the OUTDOOR STORE on the LA SPORTSMANíS web site. It is a collection of waypoints that can be downloaded into your GPS unit via a connection cable or spare data card. The download also includes a .pdf of a general map of the area showing where the waypoints are located. This cannot be installed in your GPS unit, but offers a backup for the actual electronic waypoints.
The Garmin Etrex Legend CX unit uses a microSD card to add waypoints, tracks, routes and supplemental mapping for the unit. You should get a spare Micro SD card and the free Garmin data transfer program BASE CAMP, from their web site.
Then down load the EDGE files into a folder in your computer. Call it WAYPOINTS then Myrtle Grove, and any other areas you may be interested in.
Once in the folder open the BASE CAMP program find the Myrtle Grove .gdb or .gpx file and transfer the file into the program.
Place the memory in the GPS unit and turn it on. Complete any function in the unit. This will cause the unit to write a code to the spare card which will allow the Base Camp the ability to transfer the data to the card and ultimately to the GPS unit.
