The Lake Has Turned On!

Reply
After a slow spring, the trout have turned on in Lake Pontchartrain. I hit the lake three days in a row to find willing specs hitting live shrimp and small soft plastics. I have using light split shots and letting the live shrimp drift with the current. Most hits came close to the boat about 40 yds from the tressel. I have also been using gulp shrimp Carolina rigged with a 1/4oz. sinker and letting it drift as well. Mixed in with the trout are flounder, drum and bull croaker. Many of the trout are under 12' but there are some nice ones in between the dinks. Give yourself some time and box will fill up. I have openings for lake charters for Friday and Saturday of this week before I move my boat to Delacroix for the summer. Four hour trips in the lake for up to three persons are $400. Six hour trips for up to three is $500. Live bait and fish cleaning are included. Check out more informaiton at my website www.marshland-adventures.com or call me at (504) 458-8737.
