Fishing

Hey guys came to cocodrie for the first time in attempt to get one some fish. We have not been able to get on any fish. If any one would be able to share any coordinates or spots it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Buy shrimp, get in the deeper areas, canals, center of ditches.... and fish the bottom..... or even fish with cracked crab broken in half... fishing the bottom is DESPERATION but you should get bit... gaftops, black drum, and maybe a lucky bull red.....

I still can't comprehend why people ask for coordinates of fishing spots on here. First off, finding locations that hold fish are part of the challenge of fishing. Secondly, most people are not going to give away honey holes on a fishing forum. I see no problem with sharing general areas and methods for a particular area, but exact locations? Come on, why even ask. Third, even if given exact coordinates on where to catch fish, you are not guaranteed to catch. Not trying to be rude, but its a silly question to ask.

To the OP, if you're really just wanting to hook into anything, like the other poster said, go deep and fish the bottom. You should at least get something rather than coming back with nothing.

If the winds are calm enough in the morning try to get out to the islands and fish the points with live shrimp. Also try the rigs in Terrebone bay. If you cant get out try the marsh NW and W of Coco Marina or the marsh SE of Sevin Canal the comes off of bayou petit caillou. If you can catch a falling tide, fish the openings in the intercoastal/houma navigational canal towards the southern end.
