I met a buddy this past week and we went to a few spots down in Grand Isle and it was worth it! In the past I would have to worry about heavy boat traffic when heading out, but by being in a kayak that is stable and tough I did not have a problem. I even went out to Pensacola this summer into the surf and I paddled out through four and five foot waves and was fine. Also my past few kayaks I had to do the box thing in the back with my rod holders, but by designing my own deck board I can just up and grab which ever rod I want. That’s what I have learned about marsh fishing you got to be ready when you see that fish! I ended up catching my limit on specs, 2 reds and sheep head. Also nothing beats sitting in a boat seat while fishing out of a kayak!
