ATV Bushhog?

Reply

Does anyone have any recommendations for a 'bush-hog' that can be pulled behind a 4 wheeler? I've seen a few but they look more like glorified lawn mowers than bush-hogs. Are some of them able to cut small trees/saplings?

Swisher
I have a swisher I use a few times per year. It works pretty good.
Mine is considered a trail mower. 2 sets of blades v 1 blade on the rough cut one.
It cuts as nice as a lawn tractor. I personally would rather the rough cut one to use more in the woods. Since I also have a lawn tractor for the camp yard.
I traded a gun and some cash for it on a far trade

x2 on the Swisher
I've seen a Swisher mower in action and although not exactly a bush hog it is waaaay more than a glorified lawn mower. Bad thing is they are stupid expensive!

ATV mower
I had a Swisher rough cut and if I could ride my 300 Artic Cat over it the mower would cut it without any trouble. I wish I still had it only some unknown SOB stole it from my lease.

I had the big swisher rough cut. You can drive the atv over it will mow it down. Things amazing.

Rental
Im not sure as to what exact location you need to get to, but AAA Rental rents out a brush thinner that is self propelled. If you dont have a ridiculous walk this thing is great for cutting trails or clearing spots in the woods. I used one on my lease this year and was very impressed!!! Cuts down anything you can get it on top of. If you can cut evrything in a single day i think the rental was less than $100 a day.
