Those alabama guys are most likely commercial fishermen that run to louisiana waters to fill their quotas, then bring the fish back to their home waters, and sell them for increased profits. they cant catch them in alabama or florida waters any more, so they are moving in on ours now. WHY ELSE WOULD THEY BE CONCERNED ABOUT A NON-MIGRATORY FISH MULTIPLE STATES AWAY?! No question about it...
The meeting was just to try to fix poor public image. its strictly for show. it will have ZERO effect on the laws/regulations. The gulf council already knows how they are going to set the quotas....theyve already been paid. the alabama guys are making sure their \'investment\' isnt wasted. its a sad situation.
This sounds really bad, but if they are all playing dirty, they should get played dirty. They would leave it alone real quick.
Hard to believe Joe Mac would side with the gulf council, after seeing first-hand, the abundance of Red Snapper. I never wouldve expected that from him. I'm disappointed
