Need About 25 More Names on Petition Guys

Reply
HELP READERS!

We now have 1,025 names on the petition. I'd like to get at least 25 more since some people who signed up didn't list their address. We'll STOP after get 1,050 and prepare the petition to mail to Chalmette refining Manager and our Louisiana U.S. Senators and Representatives.

PLEASE tell all your friends who may not be aware of the petition to sign up.

ALSO, if you have not read the letter I mailed to ALL LOUISIANA REFINERY CEOs REGARDING AVAILABILITY OF NON ETHANOL GAS IN LOUISIANA, please read it on my website.

I mailed the letter to each CEO of all crude oil refineries which are currently operating a refinery in Louisiana. Especially note the paragraph about what I learned about non ethanol gasoline availability in Nebraska and Iowa. These two States DO NOT have a single refinery in their States, AND, they are the largest volume manufacturers of ethanol in the Country, BUT, they offer their consumers BOTH ethanol AND non ethanol gasoline at EVERY station in their States. I first learned this when a friend and I attended the NCAA Baseball College World Series in Omaha in 2009. The letter is found on my website's 'Pete's Articles' page at

www.PeteLandrysRealGas.com

AND, please CONTINUE to sign up for the Petition if you have not already done so.

THANKS for your support in this important cause!

On vacation in the Florida Everglades and the gas stations down here have a special pump for E. free gas. This was at a new Race Track station. Never have seen a major chain like Race Track with E Free gas.

Capt, Florida last year repealed a law that was on the books that required ALL gasoline sold in Florida must have ethanol in it.

A new RaceTrac in Chalmette now has ethanol FREE gasoline also. To the best of my knowledge, per RaceTrac it is the ONLY RaceTrac station in Louisiana to sell E0.

If Florida can repeal the law, we can surely repeal the law? I will sign that petition and send it to everyone I know if you get that rolling. Going after Chalmetter refinery though, not so much

Bill, unlike Florida, Louisiana does NOT have a State law which requires that all gasoline sold in the State must contain ethanol. Florida was one of 7 States that have such a STATE law on the books. The Florida legislature REPEALED that law IN FLORIDA last year. There are still 6 States that have such a law on the books in their States.

The US Congress held hearings on the EPA Renewal Fuel Standard (RFS) last year. The House last summer and the Senate last fall. There is growing concern from US Congressmen that the RFS must either be REPEALED or significantly REVISED. Nothing will likely happen until after the November mid term elections.

By the way, did you read the letter which I mailed out last week to the CEO's of ALL Refineries operating in Louisiana? It is on my website's 'Pete's Articles' page. Website is:

See what the States of Nebraska and Iowa, the two largest manufacturers of ethanol in the US, neither of which has an oil refinery in their states, BUT offer their consumers a choice of EITHER ethanol free or ethanol gas at ALL their stations in their States! Does that make sense?

Why the petition for Chalmette Refining? Because they are the last of 5 refineries that used to sell non ethanol gas in Louisiana. We also gave Marathon refinery in Garyville backlash ALSO when they stopped selling E0 in 2012. We now have ONLY two (2) refineries selling E0 in Louisiana: the small Placid Refinery in Port Allen and a PhillippsConoco Refinery in West Lake, near Lake Charles......when do we stop complaining? When there are NO refineries selling EO in the State?
