Mixed Bag Great Day

Made a trip yesterday to lake borgne with a buddy and headed to a shoreline that's been productive. When we arrived we landed three trout quick then the action died. Asked my bud about a new spot he did well at a few days early and we headed over there. Before we could idle to the spot shrimp started bouncing off the side of the boat. I idled down and pulled up to the first point and it was every cast for about an hour putting 40 trout in the boat. We moved to the next point down and It was reds and flounder. After boating 6 reds and 4 big flounder we decided to call it a day and head in. On the way back I passed a lone crab marker and to my surprise there was a triple tail on it. Told my buddy to get ready and when he set the hook she went crazy. After about a 5 minute fight she was in the boat. Was an amazing day. Doesn't get much better then that.

Bait
Bait of choice vudu shrimp under a cork caught almost everything. Also lake borgne is full of fish if you just point hop you will run into a school sooner or later. Also a falling tide has been my best bite sometime the fish wouldn't start biting until 12 even with it so hot.

NICE!!!
Me and a friend went a couple weeks ago and hit the rigs. Caught a good mixed bag on live shrimp but didnt find them till 2 oclock or so. Lots of throwbacks at the rigs with the usual bait stealers. Havent fished any shoreline in Borgne yet but will. Always trying to learn new areas. Nice catch guys!!!

thanks i'll try that. is the water shallow?

Can be
Most of the areas are about 3 foot deep about 15 ft off the bank but I idle in from 50 yards out Bc they do have some shallow flats in the area and to not spook the fish ill use my trolling motor to come in.
