Went out the 30th..Cloudy all day with absolute no sun and winds around 20mph. I noticed the water was right around 58°. From my history, I knew even with the poor conditions, that this temperature was just about right to get the fish biting. I used past experience, and went to a sheep head hole deep in the marsh and picked up a bunch of sheep head an two drum. I then started to target the reds, and they would not hit any type of lure. Normally when it’s really cloudy, I have always had trouble with them. I went to a spot where I knew the reds were normally located and through a popping cork out with a minnow and right then and there I picked up 3 nice reds and missed one. Out of all the fish I have caught I have seen things when cleaning them, but never in a sheep head. The biggest sheep head I caught right around 20”, had a yellow beetle spin jig in his stomach. Does anyone know how long they can live with that in there or if they can finally break it down?
