Are hogs really a problem?

Reply
HOGS, if hogs are such a problem why is it that someone with a hog problem would charge you so much money for you to come help them get rid of the hog problem.??
So I guess the hogs are no longer a problem but now a way for land owners to make money..!!!
If we do not pay these people to control their problem they will then truly have a problem and need us to help them.
WARNING!!! Do not trust Pat are Corbit in the Amite, Tangipahoa, and Kentwood area. All promises that will not be met.. Too many people on too little land.

Gee, maybe the poor landowner finely has a chance to have a little help in paying his tax's !! seem's like folks who don't own anything always get mad when land owners refuse to let them use there land for nothing !! maybe some day they will own something and understand what it's like to pay tax's on land that has little or no value except for hunting !!!

no problem with land owners charging to hunt on their property at all, sometimes they call it leases, just don't have more people hunting than the hogs or game they got? if it wouldn't be for the landowners most of us wouldn't have a place to hunt for anything, deer, ducks, hogs and everything!!!!!!!!! if u don't want to pay find some public land if you can!!!! good luck!!!

no capt bob, most people that hunt actually pay to hunt, we don't have a problem paying the land owner for hunting rights like beast said that is what they call a hunting lease, problem is that hunting leases like everything else are getting unattainable by the people that ''don't own anything'' just like everything else the prices are going up through the roof

Huntr, landowners do not need to help any hog hunters. Hunters trade cash for the opportunity to hunt private land. Its a very simple process to understand. You are an uneducated person. After your comments, what land owner would want 'your kind' anywhere near their property? Nobody owes you anything. Get your english correct as well, buddy. You are an embarrasment. Wealth does not accumulate from shooting pigs, guy. Poor sap.

I think the issue is some land owners whine and complain about hogs but wont allow anyone to hunt unless you pay them, and not a small amount either. That is their right nothing wrong with that. So they shouldnt complain about hog damage.

I do lease land and my comment was about the amount of money people charge to allow a hunter to remove an animal the land owner does not want on their property. And no, I am not an English major. Just a guy that works hard to have a little extra money to take my kid hunting. I understand that land owners use lease money to pay their taxes also. My comment is mostly on those who want to tack on trophy fees, by-the pound charges, and limit the number of hogs taken. It is what it is! MONEY!
