Old Lowrance files to new format

Just copying the files may work, but the older Lowrance units required a Lowrance data file designated with a .USR suffix. Newer units, such as most of the Elite and HDS units, now require a data file with a .GPX suffix. The protocol for the two files is different.
Try copying the .usr data files to the new microSD card to see if it will work.
If not you will have to download a conversion program that is a free download from the internet called GPSBABEL. It is available at www.gpsbabel.org/
Using this program, you select the input as the Lowrance.usr file and output as a Lowrance .gpx file.
Once on the Micro SD disk you would transfer the data files from the memory card using the GPS MENU. See your owner’s manual Pages 7 and 14. Basically you transfer the card data files into the internal memory of the unit. All of the waypoints will then show as overlays on whatever mapping program you are using.
