Coastal season dates way too early!

Bottom line, the duck season in the coastal zone is opening way too early! The Greys will have just arrived with the last full moon in October and the kids will be shooting on Halloween. Not enough time for the ducks to settle in before the shooting starts.

yup. now we know why some of these guys want to be on the board. maybe, just maybe, they are setting the season to personally benefit them. the people spoke and it meant nothing. so much for public surveys. another waste of time and money.

I am fortunate i guess because every year prior to Halloween we are loaded up with greys, teal and a few pintail unless we get storm surge from a tropical system. One week earlier just gets me in the marsh sooner after a long off season and I learned years ago to not worry about things i have no control over !

you see this is why we are in a uproar about this you do have a voice in this ,, email your councilmen and the commissioners and even the governor if you want fill their mailboxes with our concerns and just maybe next year someone might take into account that our surveys are reliable data and for once listen to the people that this effects the most tax paying residents of Louisiana so you know you might have more control than you know ,but if you take that you cannot do anything about it then they will keeping craping on us like usualy
