How long will corn last in 225lb American Hunter feeder?

Before hogs destroyed my last feeder, I believe I was throwing corn for 10 sec / day (5 sec am/pm), and it was lasting me around 4 weeks. Does that sound correct?

Camp is 5 hours away, and I would like the corn to last as long as possible while still being effective.

What's the minimum I should be throwing? How long will 225lbs last at that rate?

Take a measurement of what you're throwing and calculate out that way. Have a guy I hunt with took a plastic container and made a chart on the side showing the weight of corn in half pound increments (like a measuring cup, only bigger). You take a card board box and place it around your feeder motor and catch how much it throws and dump it in the container and weigh it. If you're throwing 1 lb per throw, twice a day, with 200 lbs you're good for 100 days. Unless of course you have a Raccoon or Squirrel problem with robbing your feeder. I prefer the motor feeders over the gravity feeders, you can control the amount and time you're feeding.
