Identify this fish.

Caught this fish today in Pass Christian, any idea what it could be? I thought it might have been a baby bluefish.

Fairly common in the Bay St. Louis area. We called them bushwhacked so (can't help you with the scientific name)

Could be a Silver perch ( Bairdiella chrysoura ). Not positive about that though.

'bullbowfin' is correct, this is a silver perch

Dats a black panther fish, very rare around here.....

yeah, looks like its a silver perch.

Yep, it's a silver perch and it is very tasty. Better than croakers.
