Dularge Fishing

Thursday Drew Carlin was back onboard the Bluewave with me with his good friend Jared Harden. Trout was plan A. Our morning started off calm with storms all around us. We picked away at the trout while keeping away from the storms. Matrix Shad double rigged accounted for all of our trout. When the winds picked up we switched to plan B. It was reds and drum every cast on cracked crab Carolina rigged. The fish fought hard, but the Shimano reels won the battle!! With the K2 stuffed and the guys having to get on the road to Florida, we called it a day.

Saturday Creig Fowler with K&J supplies was back with two boats running. Reds was the plan, and the plan came together. Two stops and the K2 was stuffed full. Cracked crab Carolina rigged did the trick. Thanks Capt R Dupont for running the second boat.

Sunday Will Russ from Lakeside Toyota and crew was back with me. The guys wanted trout, so South we headed. Perfect conditions with no wind and calm seas. We picked away at the trout at our first stop. The bite was slow so we made a move. We started catching again at our second stop, but the bite was slow again. A few more moves and we decided to head North to try to finish filling the K2 up with reds. Well the reds bit early and had lockjaw once we arrived. Double rigged Matrix Shad accounted for all of our trout. Thanks again guys.

Capt. Marty LaCoste
