Shrimping with Cast Net, questions

Hi, does anyone know where are good places for a person to shrimp with a cast net here in Southeastern Louisiana? Mainly, I'm interested in good places to go that don't require a boat. I'd also like to know where to go with an aluminum boat and small engine. Thanks for the info!

Goose bayou in Lafitte has a place by landing to shrimp. You will need a light for sure. Best bait is rat chow it sinks you can purchase at any place that sells pets.
